<image:caption>At times, it can difficult to know why an individual is struggling at school, socially, or at home. We provide a range of testing and assessment services for children, teens, and young adults that help shed light on how the brain shapes behavior. Through this process, we can identify underlying diagnoses (such as ADHD or learning disabilities) and make personalized recommendations to help individuals thrive. Learn More</image:caption>

<image:caption>Dr. Allen started leading children’s therapy groups in 2012 because kids are often more responsive to their peers than to adults. Today, B.Well has evolved into an engaging group program for 4th through 7th graders that can help participants manage stress and navigate life’s many challenges by using research-backed tools including yoga, mindfulness, and cognitive-behavioral practices. <image:caption>The therapeutic process has to fit the pace and context of modern life — for individuals of all ages. We believe that psychotherapy can both be efficient (lasting weeks or months, not years) and have lifelong results. To achieve this, we use evidenced-based approaches to support children, teens, and adults who are experiencing emotional or behavioral difficulties. Learn More</image:caption>

<image:caption>Dr. Kelly Herman is a certified school psychologist in New York and Connecticut who recently joined Bankside Psychology as a postdoctoral psychology fellow, where she sees children, adolescents, and adults for evidenced-based therapy and neuropsychological assessments. Dr. Herman is a dedicated, compassionate therapist with a diverse educational background and professional experience. She holds a doctoral degree in psychology (Psy.D.) from Hofstra University, a master’s degree in school-community psychology from Hofstra University, a master’s degree in psychology from New York University and a bachelor's degree in business administration from American University in Washington, DC. Dr. Herman is well-versed in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) for children, teens, and adults. She has employed these approaches with clients across settings, and has specific expertise treating and supporting individuals with anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, ADHD and autism spectrum disorders. In addition, Dr. Herman has broad range experience working with children, teens, and adults across practice settings including schools, community clinics, and private practices. She is extensively trained in neuropsychological and psychoeducational assessment practices, and her school psychology background affords her a deep understanding of how to support children in the school setting with learning and behavioral difficulties. Dr. Herman enjoyed a successful decade in marketing and advertising in Manhattan before transitioning into the field of psychology. Her passion for enhancing the well-being and quality of life of others drove this career change. She is a proud resident of Westport, CT, where she resides with her husband (a Westport native), three wonderful young boys, and their pitbull Ruckus. In her free time, Dr. Herman enjoys spending time with her family and with the many friends they have made since moving from New York City to Westport in 2017.</image:caption>
